In His Image

In His Image is a 2 hour comic drawing workshop based on the theme of being made in God's image. The essence of a character is in the writing not the drawing. Bugs Bunny only looks like Bugs Bunny when he acts like Bugs Bunny. Likewise we bear the image of God when we act out the teachings of Jesus and God's will for our lives. We teach the kids how to write a joke in 3-6 panels and the MC draws along with them through an intuos tablet onto a projector, this way he can illustrate how to draw specific things kids are having trouble with. At the end of the session we take all of the kids work and put it into a comic book that they can take home with them (this usually takes about a week to get back to you). We bring all the supplies and do the set up and tear down, so all you need to do is provide a space and some students! Groups may request the original artwork back after the workshop if they wish. This workshop is ideal for ages 9-15 but can be adapted for any age group. To book this or any other workshop please fill out the form at the bottom of the page.

Super-you!

Super-You! is a one hour drawing workshop based on spiritual gifts. We get kids thinking about spiritual gifts and talk about how to discover your own gifts as well what they think their gifts might be. They then get to design a super hero based on their spiritual gifts (they can design more than one). We provide Super-Hero body image templates for the kids to draw on if they wish or they are welcome to draw their own from scratch. We provide all of the supplies and do the set up and tear down so all you need to provide is a space and some students! Our MC also brings an intuos tablet and draws live on a projected screen to draw alongside the students and give them visible drawing tips. This workshop is ideal for jk-grade 5 but is adaptable for any age group. To book this or any other workshop please fill out the form at the bottom of the page.

Story based evangelism

This workshop looks at how to evangelize to people through the listening to and telling of stories. Everyone is the protagonist in their own movie and so it is important to be able to speak the gospel into their story in a way that meshes and feels natural. We cover the basics of story telling like character, plot, 3 act structure, the Heroes Journey, etc. as well as how to listen and engage with people wherever they are in their life-story. Learn how to portray people's individual gospel experiences in story form. We look at Philip and the Eunuch as a model for evangelism and discipleship. Participants also write a short true story to share with the group. To book this or any other workshop please fill out the form at the bottom of the page.

discipleship workshop for lay ministry leaders

This workshop is intended to help lay ministry leaders better understand their role as both disciples of Jesus and disciplers of the people in their area of ministry. We look at examples of discipleship from the bible (Elijah/Elisha, Jesus and His disciples, Paul and Timothy, etc.) We go over roles, responsibilities, self care and healthy boundaries. This workshop is an important step in developing and maintaining a healthy leadership and ministry team. To book this or any other workshop please fill out the form at the bottom of the page.
